What is RazorNylon?

RazorNylon is basically a site that started as a personal homepage back in 1997 during the "gotta have my own domain" boom, that has since gotten out of hand. It use to have all my pictures, some of my favorite downloads, a forum for friends, etc. Since then the internet has grown and more services that offer these same functions have arose. Things like Flickr, holds an unlimited amount of pictures in high res, uses geo-tagging, comments, and re-sizes all my pictures after I use this easy uploader. Makes it seem like a waste to host my pictures here anymore.

Other sites like Facebook, Shelfari, Twitter, YouTube, etc. These make it seem inpractical to host all of those things that were once here, here! However, I have had this domain for over a decade now. What do I do with it now?

Now this site serves as the same function but my own personality is more in the limelight behind the scenes. The blog (one of the few things I still host on my own) has been moved to its own sub-domain, and a lot of things have been removed. Those things that were personal are all revolved around the blog now, and RazorNylon.com is more of a small cute enviroment for me to share sometimes that I have found useful around the web. Things such as links, pics, downloads, or other things that aren't personally related to me.

What it is not!

This site is not out there to say "damn the man". There are sometimes that get added that have made others upset in the past and scream copyright infringement. This site has made the newspapers, been shut down by congloberate lawyers, and been the focus of a military invesitgation. I am not trying to turn heads, or piss anyone off. I am not trying to earn a fortune through the ads on this site. (For the record I make about $6 a month from the ad here, hosting is much, much more.)

I just want to share somethings I have found online, if its a nice pic or download I sometimes host it here as I hate linking to something and then have the link disapper. If its hosted here I know the link is good. If something here is yours and you don't like my hosting it, then use the contact form and tell me. I can give you credit (which I try to do anyway, with a link of where I found it if available), or I can remove it. Again not stepping on anyone's toes. Just a place where I can share what I like, and possible bring together others with the same interests as me.
